Vadim Gorbaty (he/they) is a New York-based cinematographer working in narrative, music videos, and commercials.
A queer, first-generation American and third-culture kid, Vadim is drawn to narrative work probing the complexities of cultural assimilation, kinship, and masculinity. Across formats, they cherish the work of crafting visual language and experimenting with their collaborators.
Vadim has worked in the US, the Czech Republic, and the UK. They hope to continue working abroad for the rest of their days.
Off set, Vadim can be found biking around the city, listening to noise rock, and cooking ambitiously. They hold a BFA in Film & Television from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
